Call for Abstracts

The European Association for Health Information and Libraries (EAHIL) invites you to share your research, experiences, and innovative practices at the EAHIL 2026 Conference in Antalya, Türkiye.

Under the conference theme Bridges to New Horizons: Innovations in Health Information and Medical Libraries, we welcome contributions that address any of the eight subthemes, including but not limited to:

  • Emerging Technologies in Health Information and Medical Libraries
  • Ethics, Privacy, Security, Equity and Justice
  • Emerging roles
  • Education, capacity building and the future of library spaces
  • Knowledge mobilization and implementation
  • Best Practices

All abstracts will undergo peer review by the International Programme Committee.

Important Dates:

  • Call for Abstracts Opens: 15 September 2025
  • Submission Deadline: 14 November 2025
  • Notification of Acceptance: 15 December 2025

Submission Guidelines

Eligibility:

  • Submissions are open to all health information professionals, librarians, researchers, educators, students, and industry partners.
  • Authors may submit more than one abstract.

Abstract Format:

  • Maximum length: 500 words
  • Language: English
  • Structure recommended:
    • Background/Objectives
    • Methods/Approach
    • Results/Findings
    • Conclusions/Implications
  • Do not include tables or figures in the abstract.

Presentation Types:

  • Oral Presentation
  • Poster Presentation
  • Workshop Proposal
  • Continuing Education Course Proposal

Submission Process:

  • All abstracts must be submitted through the online submission platform.
  • You will receive an email confirmation upon successful submission.
  • Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to prepare final presentation materials.

Full Papers (Optional):

  • Accepted abstracts may be developed into full papers for inclusion in the conference proceedings.
  • Full paper submission is optional and will follow a separate timeline communicated after acceptance.
